“Family is the heart and soul of our company”

1951

Against the background of the city of Scafati, already highly industrialised since the post-war period, the war hero Commander Angelo Vittoria transforms the network of his family artisan weavers into a modern and structured industrial reality: he founds the “Angelo Vittoria textile industry”.

1965

Doctor Biagio Vittoria, son of the Commander Angelo Vittoria, graduated in chemistry, introduces important technological innovations in the company: mechanical knotting machines and the first Jacquard looms. The range of products expands, also including the clothing segment. “Angelo Vittoria” becomes one of the most important reference brands in the hemp and linen sector.

1980

The factory, initially located in the centre of Scafati, was moved to its current location named “Vittoria Textile Manufacturing”. The considerable experience gained in the manufacturing, together with the dynamism, allows the yarn-dyed fabric to be included in the production.

2001

The third generational change takes place when the engineer Angelo Vittoria joins his father Biagio. With an increasingly richer and more comprehensive global offer, he concentrates his efforts towards a greater product and service quality, creating synergies with the entire supply chain, from cultivation to fabric creation. A focus that makes the company performant and competitive.

2010

Marketing takes on an international dimension. The company maintains an innovative approach, remaining rooted in an artisan spirit, despite industrial standardisation and low-cost series production. It has latest generation machinery and uses 3D softwares for the presentation of fabrics and order management.
